Best Student Paper at CPAIOR 2026
Since May, I have been on parental leave, which has somewhat limited the time I have to write blog posts. I am, however, very happy to announce that my student Christoph Jabs was awarded the Best Student Paper Award at CPAIOR 2026 for our work “Multi-objective Maximum Satisfiability by Single-Objective Implicit Hitting Set Optimization”.
The paper describes an extension of the so-called implicit hitting set search paradigm to multiobjective optimization. It is the final paper in Christoph’s PhD thesis, and I am happy he could end his PhD work with a nice recognition from the community.
I’d like to thank Christoph and the other coauthors for their work.
